Summer Tour Elite Program

The Summer Tour Elite Program will be introduced in the Summer of 2008. This program is available to competitive juniors ages 13-19. Students will learn how to develop the skills and mind of a champion through this Multi-DImensional, intensive training program. TBGA Certified coaches will travel with the players on a full tournament schedule selected by the academy.

Philosophy

At Tom Burnett Golf Academy we keep the ratio of students for each instructor very low, this ensures the highest quality instruction for every player. We realize that choosing the best golf program is an important decision and our job is to make sure that each player not only receives the best coaching but also that they have a great time and make life-long memories.

Technical

The Technical Dimension of our program ensures that students learn proper mechanics through an understanding of the full swing and various short game techniques. Your technical skills are then developed through the use of motion sensor and ultra sound based technologies, launch monitors, multi-view high-speed video, computer swing analysis, drills, games, and on-course instruction. Specialized training aids are also employed to assist in your overall learning process. The Academy strives to stay on the leading edge of golf instruction, analysis technology, and personal attention.

Mental Performance

The Mental Dimension teaches the you how to maximize your brainpower for your game.  You will begin learning how to develop the mind of a champion.  You will learn how to avoid disruption due to mental errors and how to quickly rebound from distractions, mistakes, and setbacks. Players will learn the importance of routine and how to mentally prepare themselves for competition.  Improving their motivation, and concentration is the foundation of any champion’s career.  Our nationally renowned mental conditioning coach works with campers to improve concentration, motivation techniques, course management, percentage scoring, and techniques to release anxiety during play.  We also teach campers that they should have fun playing, because that is what the game of golf is all about.

Physical Performance

The Physical Dimension focuses on developing your body to perform at a peak level on a consistent basis. This requires the right balance of nutrition, training, and rest.  Our golf specific training program has been designed to increase your flexibility, strength, and stamina while reducing your risk of injury.  Our certified personal fitness trainers work with you to ensure that you are at the peak of your physical performance.   Your physical training takes place in our own state-of-the-art fitness facility equipped with the finest equipment available and is for the exclusive use of our students and campers. Meals will be designed to provide the proper nutrition needed to properly train and compete.
