Jeanne Cho is a native of Boulogne, France and currently resides in Durham, NC. She speaks four languages – French, English, Spanish and Korean. Jeanne is an alumnus of the University of Florida. After a very successful professional golf career, Jeanne Cho enters her fourth season as Assistant Coach of the Duke women’s golf team.
A standout in the classroom, Cho was a three-time NCCA All-American Scholar, three-time Verizon Academic All-District III selection, three-time member of the SEC Honor Roll and was a 2003 Verizon Academic All-America. Cho earned Dean’s List recognition from 2000-03. She graduated cum laude in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Sciences from Florida.
Jeanne’s playing career is equally as impressive as her academics. As a junior, Cho won the 1999 Japan Junior Masters and was a member of the French Junior National Team in 1999. She also won the 2003 Women’s Southern Amateur Championship in 2003. Cho was an AJGA All-AmericaN in 1999, member of the Canon Cup East Team in 1999 and won the First Coast Amateur Championship in 2000. Cho was a four-year starter at the University of Florida where she earned All-SEC honors as a freshman and junior. She was a two-time winner at the 2002 Liz Murphy Collegiate and at the 2000 UCF Invitational. Jeanne was a five time winner on the woman’s mini tour. Cho was also a finalist on The Golf Channel’s reality television show Big Break V: Hawaii in 2006 and played on the LPGA in 2007.
As Jeanne transitioned from playing, Her professional working career as a coach started as a Coordinator of Corporate Marketing at the PGA TOUR. She quickly realized she had more to offer as woman’s assistant coach for Duke University. Jeanne made an immediate impact with the Blue Devils helping lead Duke to the 2012 ACC Championship. This past season, Cho helped lead Duke to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championship and its second consecutive ACC Championship.
